Congratulations to all the wonderful restaurants and chefs who won at our inaugural awards in November. We had an amazing evening and what a thrill to see everyone so happy. It was a fantastic gathering of communities, chefs, restaurants, media and food enthusiasts and wonderful to see the talent and hard work of so many people rewarded. What a great night!
We'd like to thank the amazing staff of Castleknock Hotel for hosting our gathering and for their wonderful service to our guests. We'd also like to thank our main sponsor Cobra Beer who provided a special Cobra bar on the night and Asia Market who gave all our guests wonderful goodie bags. Both have been incredible companies to work with.
MD Florals and Events arranged the stunning cherry blossom arch at the hotel and flowers throughout the ballroom. The beautiful wines on the night which paired so well with the Indian dishes were provided by Whelehans Wines and Ballygowan supplied water for all our guests.
We had a wonderful chai stall from the Chai People which was very popular on the night and it was fantastic to have them. We'd like to thank Rohan Skore of Postree Ireland for his magic on the audio visual, it was such a special addition and we cannot recommend his services enough if you are organising events. It was an incredible evening with a fantastic atmosphere - seeing everyone's joy taking home awards made us so happy! We had great press coverage in the days afterwards from newspapers and online media all over Ireland celebrating their local restaurants that won. This is really important - to shine the spotlight on Asian food and communities, and we know it brought a lot of new people in the door to try restaurants they might not have visited before.
We are delighted our first awards was such a huge success and we are already planning for an even bigger and better awards for 2024. All our winners from 2023 are listed at the news item link. We'd like to all the restaurants who entered - thanks for being part of this scheme and sharing your food with us! We love being out and about and seeing our awards hanging on restaurant walls. Also catching up with chefs, staff and management in so many restaurants and helping promote the sector.
